Structural Bodywork with Ryan Hill

Available: Mondays

$100/ 70 minutes

Ryan describes his work as “no-fluff.” Heavily informed by Yoga practice, his main objective in touch is in guiding an experience of release: there are often many changes of position. You’ll be encouraged to breathe and remain in touch with the body’s reactivity as he implements very direct methods. An excellent approach for those with chronic pain, the experience is designed to lead you to understand it’s cause and discover new connections in movement. There’s a good chance you’ll get “homework” involving yoga postures or self-massage to reinforce the work.
Having struggled with it himself, Ryan’s specialty is sacro-illiac and hip-flexor issues. While some massage modalities focus on the back body, structural work tends to begin at the foundation. We have to recognize that healing is work and there are no quick solutions. By creating new habits and patterns, you can expect change! Sessions are fully clothed.
